The CSI Security Control Room received information regarding a suspected stolen BMW X3 seen in the vicinity of Brooklyn Mall.
CSI Armed Response Units R1 and R3 immediately responded and commenced a search of the surrounding area. The vehicle was located parked in Fehrsen Street.
Operational members maintained observation of the vehicle while confirming that it remained positively listed as a sought stolen vehicle.
A male and female subsequently approached the vehicle and were tactically detained without incident. Both suspects were handed over to members of Brooklyn SAPS, who placed them under arrest on charges of possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.
The recovered BMW X3 was transported to the SAP13 Vehicle Pound in Pretoria West for further processing and investigation.
Outcome
- Two (2) suspects detained and handed over to Brooklyn SAPS (recorded under SAP14).
- One (1) suspected stolen BMW X3 recovered.
- Vehicle booked into the SAP13 Vehicle Pound, Pretoria West.
